If only Nomad would allow a reviews section. I suppose it's open to abuse from the imbeciles though.

What if we had a thread of reviews in the band section with any non-review posts or one line, "This sucks" reviews deleted? That could work.

I don't think the idea was appreciated. Nomad was asked numerous amounts of times, no reply, and the thread is closed. No go.

Oh well. However, if we keep this thread as it is currently, that should be enough for anybody to get the necessary information on anything that we've been listening to.

For me right now its Death-The sound...
As mentioned up above i would really like a reviews forum.
But it would have to be kept at least somewhat professional. No Bullshit, just serious comments and opinions. Im not sure how reasonable it is to ask that of some of the people here... but i think the reviews section could be run a bit more strict and it would go just fine. Sounds good to me, but then again, its not up to me.

just got a great feel to it. plus the blue color of the whole thing couldnt be more perfect for the sound of the album, IMO. But come to think of it, every album cover/color seems to strangely go so fucking perfect with the songs that make it up.

Right on man in fact it's not only my favorite album but the theme of my computer follows it somewhat also. I did have the winamp skin that matched it, but I thought this one looked cooler.

Correct! My computer is all decked out because I used to play video games competivley so I built my own top of the line computer, and using 1600x1200 just looks so much sexier as long as your computer can handle it. I sized the picture down to 1024x768 though so it would be more user friendly since I know not many people have this high of resolution.

you lads are way off topic.
Nevermore - Dead Heart In A Dead World
I like Nevermore, good albums, good music, tollerable vocals. This album is a masterpeice, has nice crunchy riffs, good clean production, all up it is probably my favourite album that is not death or grind orientated.

Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine
i have come to realize that occasionally Dani Filth can be a good lyricist. on even more rare occasions, hes even a good singer.

Oh well fuck. You're right. Stupid winamp just goes through all of my music song by song without telling when it's going to change albums, what a stupid program. I think we need to get this fixed! Arch Enemy - Anthems Of Rebellion (I made sure to check the album ) current song is Marching On A Dead End Road. It's late give me a break

Impaled - Mondo Medicale
I love this album, great riffs, being chunky, yet still have some extect of melody, and tehy are great lyric writers too, check out this extract from the song "We Belong Dead"
Our clinic raided by the authorities
Littered with corpses on all thirteen stories
We toiled long in the laboratories
Fueled by methamphetamines and forties
Wading through offal and excrement
Agents of law effect our detainment
Judicial procedings with malevolent prejudice
Our heinous crimes lack any precedence
Horrifying facts and aggregious evidence
The lives and deaths of medical deviants
All up, if you are a fan of other gore metal bands (e.g. Carcass - Necroticsm/Heartwork or Exhumed) this is definately a must have!

Mostly:
Immolation - Unholy Cult
This album is a masterpiece, it's as simple as that. The off-kilter riffs are littered with strange chords and dischordance that rips a jagged chasm through your head. Robert Vigna's soloing goes hand-in-hand with this underlying music in perfect ear-splitting (dis)harmony. Songs such as the title track and Rival The Eminant suck you in and spit you back out without a thought or, indeed, a prayer. You'll buy this album and then you'll love Immolation for the rest of your days.

Aborted - "The Haematobic EP"
4 new songs, one is an Entombed cover and another is a remake of "The Santification of Fornication" - which is entitled "The Santification of Refornication". Plus 2 live tracks, and a couple of pieces of live footage. The new tracks are decent, basically a follow-on from "Goremageddon". Nothing new, however. Only recommended if you are a die-hard Aborted fan.

Insomnium - Under the Plaintive Sky
If you dig Melodic Death Metal this is a MUST own. Their the kings of MDM in my opinion, they put In Flames to shame. Plus their all in their early 20's which just make me wonder how their music with prosper and progess and they gat older. Check out their site to hear some songs http://insomnium.net/download.htm

Today I listened to Pierced From Within by Suffocation. No description needed, although if anybody is unaware of how awesome this album is I will happily provide one.

I've been listening to Ride The Lightning a lot lately. I seem to be going through a bit of a classic album phase recently. I also gave And Justice For All a few spins as well as Rust In Peace and Master Of Puppets. It must be the Metallica v Megadeth thread that's influenced me.

Cacophony- Speed Metal Symphony. The first time I gave it a listen I didn't like it much, but I let it sit and listened to it last week, and it is very good.
