White Zombie or Rob Zombie
A couple of friends and I were discussing this at work. We all agreed White Zombie is much better than Rob Zombie. What do you think?

White Zombie beats the shit out of everything Rob Zombie has done. Rob Zombie chokes on hobo cock. Truck on Fire is one of the fucking weirdest metal songs I have ever heard. Everything they played back then was so weird and psychadelic, you can't even really label it. Their techno days sucked, though.

Neither tickle my fancy, but I've heard that Rob's horror films are pretty decent.

i liked white zombie, i think i only liked 2 of robs solo songs, and considering i can't remember their names they probably weren't very good anyway. i'm currently listening to white zombie's let them all die slowly, back in before he called himself zombie, not as good as la sexorcisto but not too bad for being made in his basement

Actually, the album title is "Make Them Die Slowly", the title "Let Them Die Slowly" is just a misprint on the sides of some of the CD's (it's not on the tapes). It's a good album if you ask me, it was their first album I had. You should listen to Soul Crusher, the songs on that album are very weird and words simply can't describe what they sound like. Ditto for Psycho-Head Blowout.

i have soulcrusher too, my bassist is pretty much obsessed with white zombie so he helped me locate the harder to find albums (make them die slowly *there i fixed it * and soulcrusher)

I like them both. I can't say I like the other better. They basically both express the same thing. Rob Zombie's just a little harder on it. White Zombie is what I call the other white meat of Classic rock.... I guess you could call it. Either way, I think we can all agree on this.... Tempesta kicks ass in both of them.

Looks like zombie is losing body parts. Tempesta left and is now in Helmet and Riggs is in a band with Mike Tempesta called Scum of the Earth.

Whatever happened to Jay (I believe that was his name) the guitarist from White Zombie? I'm guessing he fell off the face of the earth.

Page Hamilton has started the band back up. He is the only original member now. He was doing some guitar work and helping on film scores. The rest of the new Helmet is Tempesta, the orange 9mm guitarist and the bass player from Anthrax. This is exciting because Helmet was one of my favorite bands a long time ago. Not to mention they are way underrated as a band. They had alot of influence in music today.

He was in Exodus and Testament, that I know for sure. I believe he was also a session drummer with Slayer (or toured with them as a fill-in or something), but I'm not 100% sure about that.

i see...i don't know orange 9mm, and Anthrax blows, but this is definately interesting...i guess the best of CD sold fairly well. Helmet had influence on the post-grunge and unfortunately the nu-metal scene, i'm sure the Deftones and Korn listened to Helmet back in the day.

yeah 1000 corpses was cool, but it was basically a mix of every horror film ever done mixed into one film.

I define a good horror movie as something I can't eat while watching it.
So far I can't eat while watching 28 Days Later, And House of 1000 Corpses.
Y'know what movie used to be good, and somewhat still is in a little way? Scream.

Scream? To me that was the beginning of the end of all good horror movies. I believe after the Night of the Living Dead remake they broke the mold.

Horror movies are pretty much a joke. The only one that ever frightened me was when I saw Child's Play when I was 5. I'm sure most 5 year olds would have been afraid of Chucky for the first time. The only horror movies that I like as actual horror movies are the Nightmare on Elm Street series. The effects weren't good at first, but the idea was very original and fresh. Everything else is repetitive and boring. Any horror movie that isn't boring is either A. in the Nightmare on Elm Street series, or B. unintentionally funny.
I find far more fall under the column B.

Astrocreep is by far my favorite thing that Zombie has ever done. Blood Milk & Sky is a kick ass song!

Yeah, what the fuck happened to J, Ivan and Sean of White Zombie?!? White Zombie is one of my favourite bands, I'm actually gonna tab the whole record like, real soon [La Sexor]. Can anyone help me on where I can get Make Them Die Slowly and Soul Crusher? I'd really like to have them.

first off, i like both white zombie and rob zombie. theyve got that same style, exempt rob zombie is more club music. im sure rob zombie was the brain child of white zombie, or he stole their style when he went solo. the differences i can see really, is that white zombie's liyrics were more drug-inspired, and rob zombie's lyrics are more b-movie (not a refernence to the above post).
secondly, Scream sucks. that is the most boring horror movie i have ever seen. every stereotype is in there. its not even a horror, i belongs in the action/thriller category. a good horror i think, is the Puppet Master (THE ORIGINAL). its got everything, despite the fact that the fx are shitty as all hell. the only problem with that movie, and with horror in general, is that people won't let that movie end. too many bad sequels, all ripping of the first movie which ripped off something else. horror is just a very uncreative category. and why the hell are there no more "just horror" horror flicks? theyre all about sex it seems
