no, I can do it on my old Pearl W-100 I now have Axis Longboards which make it a hell of alot easier.
the giant step twin effects pedals aren't that great, I tried them out in a shop and my feet didn't like them.

ive tried the longboard (cant remember AA or AX) but it ruled so hard. thats going to be the first addition to my kit after my cymbals, when i get the money of course.

no I suggest longboards first, THEN cymbals.
(I don't care too much foor cymbals, and your feet deserve to be spoilt occasionaly, they cart you ass everywhere...)

AA comes with the sonic hammer, (the flat fucker beater, instead of the round ones) and they have an adjustable thing on the other thing, this bit:

you see how there is an adjustable slide nut where the direct drive connects to the thing that holds you beater, this allows you to setup how much pivot you get (giving the same effect as the Eliminator interchangeable cams but with much more precision) those are the only 2 differences.
