Misery Index, and the pre-album Decrepit Birth shit is the only worthwhile things Talley has done. Dying Fetus is poochie metal. Word up.

Dying Fetus has a total of 3 good songs (all off Kiling on Adrenaline). Misey Index is very good (nothing special, just well writen).

And as for the nu-metal comment, not every band you don't listen to is nu metal. Nu metal is a genre of wannabe fags who play Rap Metal. I.E., Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, etc.

I've got The Impossibility of Reason. It's good, but I wouldn't pay to see them live unless another band that was good was on the bill. In other words, it's good, but not great. Army of Me is probably there best song in my opinion.

for a metal (yes just plain ordinary metal) band i really like them, impossibility of reason is a great cd, yeah it's heavy and yeah the lyrics are more blunt than the usual stuff i listen too but for fucks sake everyones allowed to be pissed off once in a while without it having to be some metaphor. if i'm in a pissy mood i don't want to have to dissect a song i just want to hit something or someone, kick around and be done with it... blunt angry lyrics are good for that. anyway yeah i really like the last album, the one before was good but nothing special, they definitely added enough to give them alot of credibility in my book (instrumentals, some basic solos, lots of double bass etc.)

i've seen chimaira live on their first ever show with the new drummer + the guitarist isnt half bad - nothing special but enough to get them out of the nu metal genre at least.

i saw them with In flames, and i saw enough (8 minutes) then i decided to wait out where the bar is untill In flames came on. To be put nicely, they didnt interest me in the least. And the vocals further convinced me that it wasnt my style. But im not saying they suck.

I personally am a big fan of them, I prefer the first album though, nice an heavy. 2nd album is good too, Ive seen them live twice, first time they were missing a guitarist, cause he got the shit kicked out of him the night before in Liverpool and they put on a great show, and the last time I saw them they blew KsE off the stage.

Chimaira aren't the greatest band on the planet, and true, their lyrics and vocals are awful, but other than that I would consider them thrash. To call Chimaira nu-metal is like calling Slayer nu-metal (yes Slayer piss all over Chimaira in every way, it's just an example).

Lividity are great, yes. I'd prefer Waco Jesus, however. Brodequin.. I do think they are kind of overrated, but they are still good for what they are. Pustulated are much better - they play the same style. Gurgle/blasting stuff.
