Thinking of band names is the worse, what do you guys think of the name lachesis. Lak-e-sis. It was one of the three mythological characters who spun the web of fate.

blackmetal with some death, im having a really hard time thinking of a name. One cool name well kinda, was Charon, which was the ferryman who delivered the souls to hell.

is lachesis one of the norns that sat at the trunk of yggdrasil and wove the fate of men ? you should go with equinox. it was the name of the journal or newspaper put out by aleister crowley (hopefully you know who that is)

Cool idea but if it was involved with Aleister Crowley, its name is probably taken...whether it is I don't know, but you could browse metal-archives.com 
EDIT: I already checked it for ya and it WAS the name of a Norwegian thrash band, but they've disbanded.

That is a GREAT name. As some useless info, it is also the name of the genus of the largest (up to 14ft.) pit vipers in the world. The live from Mexico south to South America, they are HIGHLY venomous, very rare, and very feared where they exist. Perhaps you've heard of a "Bushmaster"- those are Lachesis. They are also unique in being one of the few pit vipers that lay eggs (most give birth to live young). |

A really cool name would be Sleipnir (slippery), It is a horse from an old nordern idolbelive, Sleipnir had eight legs and belonged to a guy named Odinn, Odinn only had one eye because he gave one of his eyes to some witch. Odinn was the idol that ruled everything.
Freyr would also be kind of cool name, he was the fertile idol.

he gave one of his eyes to drink from a well that was guarded by a witch so that he could see what was going on the other 8 worlds, he also has two ravens hunin and munin (memory and thought)that fly around the worlds then at the end of the day come back and tell him the news
