hahahhahahhahaha... Give it up man, the amp sucks. Your just going by looks.. And when its turned on ALL the knobs turn red and the metal flames turn a reddish orange color and when you play. and there lights that change colors to what you are playing. Its awesome!!

if you want a fancy looking head that actually sounds good, get a line6 hd-147, most of the sounds you get out of that thing are really good, but still its a modeler.

when you say it sounds crap, what are you comparing it to, are you basing your opinion of it because its not great for real heavy death metal.
Its like $800 so it cant be awful otherwise people wouldnt buy them.
From what i can gather, alot of you guys on here dig death metal bands so i think your judge mental comments are highly un thought out musically.
I mean i bet you u guys think that the STEVE VAI LEGACY HEADS are crap too!

actually steve vai legacy heads are nice for shred stuff and death metal too if your tase is relatively low gain. but that amp sucks dude, dont buy when you could get a engl 530 and peavey classic 50/50 for nearly the same price.

Not enough gain. Overall, not that good of tone. Not much potential for making it sound better. I think it wouldnt be that bad for black metal because it sounds pretty thin. Theres much better amps for $800.

it's crap, i've already said before.... all around, bad clean tone, bad crunch tone , bad high gain tone.
it doesnt do any style better than the other... i'm no "heavy death metal" guy either.
i'm comparing it to just about any other decent amp made... i've played s.s. crate & peavey heads and combos that were much better. and half the cost.

most standard b52 cabs sell for about as much as a quad of v30's.... and in fact do not have v30's in them.

well, they do have a cab according to the site that has v30's, but nobody online sells them... or any any stores i've been to... but i can garauntee the build quality of the carvin,mesa, marshall is probably better..
