I guess I'm going to do a series of "For Her" poems...The inspiration here came from Iced Earth.


For Her

I walk this Earth, everyday the same ol' thing
Wish a summer to bloom a great gold that's you
And the time will come, this crazy world will be
Just a cage for me to sing a tune for you

I'll die upon a cross
For her
Just to see her again
One last time

A gather of light for my struggling might
I want this to never end for us
A darkness unveiled from whimper to roar
I'll die for you 'cause I'll never walk alone

I'll lay upon a board
For pain
Just to see her again
One last time

Soon the time will come when the gold turns black
I'll never feel again the touch of your face
Of the last hour and of our last breath
Together we'll keep this secret affair

Now the time is here I'll go away
To walk the Earth all alone again
Sensing the past lose its luster
I'll miss the time we had together

Now dead upon a cross

I died...for her

I was unsure about that part because it seemed that when you died you'd not be on Earth, but she would.
Otherwise I thought it was fine. Iced Earth is cool, too. The boys listened to them quite a bit.
