for grind its best to use the distortion from your amp, sounds really shitty and grind if you put the mid and high down and the gain and bass up.

i got a line 6 amp (70 watt)
it doesnt sound bad but a friend said it would sound much better with a pedal and i can produce more volume. it would be better for my amp.
the budget is 50 euro or something like that.
on the site of regurgitate i have read that they use the boss mt-2 metalzone.
it seems that is the most common pedal. i'll check it out in the store.

that might be good settings if you have a tube amp... otherwise you could try a pedal. something high gain and unrefined, like the boss mt2 should do. goregrind is not a genre of sparkling and noteworthy guitar tones man, just as long as you are distorted to the max and bassy, it will work.

tube amps use vaccuum tubes, whilst solid state, or s.s., amps use circuitry to amplify the sound, tubes are generally warmer and more natural sounding, but tend to distort at high volumes, whereas s.s. has a bit more "sterile" sound, but the cleans tend to stay clean, no matter what the volume. you are fine with the amp you have.
for a pedal, i would suggest either the mt-2, not my first pick for a pedal, but good none the less, the digitech metalmaster, killer pedal, use one my self, very harsh, extremely high gain, or the digitech reissue of the dod death metal pedal, better than the DOD version in that it has a metal chassis, so it shouldnt break on ya.

i know lots of bands use the MT-2, but you have to be really careful with it, as if your amp cant take the bass, you can get the distortion to a point where you have a weird bouncie sound when you play palm muted notes (like Vaginal Carnage have)

gore grind is indeed different from standard grind, which has far higher tones than the low bassy goregrind sound.
and beast is right about the amp thing. intense hammer rage for example i know use bass amps for both the guitars and the bass guitars (not that there is any point in them having a bass guitar )
more goregrind for the masses!

dont look exclusively into having a bass amp just because you play grind though, i know that Dungeon also use bass amps and they sound like Iron Maiden did 20 years ago (including the poor production!) it is really just important that you get a sound that you feel is right for you. I have 2 distortions that i will use when i get my ass inot gear for recording, one distortion is using my shitty amp with all the mids and most of the higs taken out, with the gain and bass on max, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, the tone knob on the guitar is also at nothing (otherwise it sounds shit). That produces a really muddy sounding guitar tone. To counter that i have my MT-2 that has an almost chainsaw distortion, which is higer, and more clear. Hopefully when i record the 2 different sounds i can get some sort of middle ground, having the muddy guitar do the rythm sort of stuff, with the chainsawish guitar doing the higher stuff.

my ass... s.s. amps do breakup... they just don't sound good like tubes amps..
s.s. breakup is very harsh and blocky, almost unusable in most cases.
