Ive been playing for two years now. I feel like my playing speed has reached a plateau. I need help with this. those chromatic exercises havent helped at all. i need a way to increase my speed. Please Help.

get a teacher? try more difficult songs?

you may just be screwed, i remember reading somewhere that no matter how much you practice once you get to a certain point thats it. but get a metrenom and practice to that

in my area weve got great teachers. but i progress too fast for them to keep coming up with stuff for me too do.

now that doesn't make sense, then they're definetly not great teachers...

i meant as far as theory is concerned and thats all they really bother with here.

i had the most skilled instructor in the town. he could pull that shit too. he just couldnt keep up with me.

2 years playing isn't that much really, I couldn't play becker shit when I just started out

i meant he couldnt keep up with the speed that i was learning the excersizes in theory.
I can only play some of beckers stuff. just bits and pieces from his cacophony years.

if you teacher can't keep up with you, you need another one... simply said, my teacher allways out-flashed me with licks and solos when I thought I was getting loads better, it was the only way to keep me motivated for taking lessons
