Stupid Question but....

When I was learning some Mortician songs on some of the tabs it said "Use a pedal for riffs 3 and 4 to change the pitch" so I was wondering what does that mean? What pedal changes the pitch? An octive pedal?

pitch shifter pedal, octave pedals, harmonizer pedal, ect.... something that turns the note you play into a different note.
a whammy pedal is kinda like all in one with an expression pedal.
