Now in the darkness
I feel a fire
Weak with life but there it is

A doorway to death
Hatred I will feel
Strength of black and cold inside

Silvery eyes
Crying the word
I can feel the cool blue call of him

Of the darkness
And the demonic face
In the bright glowing mirror ahead

Passing on
And wishing well
I fear the path that I have chosen

I fear the road
That leads beyond
To a place that I have lost and forgotten

Painting red
A scene of gore
My breath has caught its rusted end

I am very afraid
Of what shall happen
Diminishing a love beneath my chest

Here I am
In my final end
I miss the love and color of life

Loved the way you ended it. You've been reading Poe again? It was a bit tame for you but that's cool. The short lines and reps at the end told the storey just fne and left oodles for the imagination.


And I'm glad you didn't say --oops ! I've done it again or I'd have to reach in through the screen and turn you red and rust and puce.

heh...I just used a different form of imagery than just "evil." I used color this time; and if you noticed, as I progressed into "death" the colors got brighter, and after I found out it was the wrong choice, it became black again...Truly sarcastic.
