Charvel Guitars?
Hi!
I'm new here, so, hello to everyone.
What do you think about charvel guitars? are they any good? like, a charvel neck-thru with bridge emg humbucker pickup and a single coil neck pikcup, do you think that would be good?

A Charvel is to a Jackson what a Squier is to a Fender. Not bad, but you'd be better off spending another $150-300 and getting a real one. Oddly enough, my Squier right now has machineheads from a Charvel neck installed on it. The guy who I got the Charvel neck told me he liked his Charvel a lot, but he's had tons of different guitars, he likes regular Jackson's better. Having played on both, I'd go with a Jackson. EPS's are nice, too. Personally, I think the best guitar you could get in terms of price-to-playability ratio would be a Ibanez. A $300 Ibanez is just about as good as any $500 guitar.

Instead of making two replies, you can just edit the mistakes out of the first reply. That works better. I also have a question- Oddly enough, this question was directed at the wrong person, and so I have edited it out. While this is the perfect example of when you should use editing, it really was a coincidence.

Its the other way around bud.
in the 80's Charvels were ALL american made. Wayne wouldnt allow his name on a subpar guitar.

Charvel is the junior company to Jackson, just like Squier is the junior company to Fender. Whether it's better or worse is really subjective. I say Jackson's are better and I'll stand by that opinion. Most people I know would agree. Try them out for yourself and see which one you prefer.

wrong, Chavel is NOT the junior company to Jackson.
All Charvels are of good quality and are all made in California (pretty sure)

Thanks for proving my point..
Charvel dosent make shitty imports. Thus Jackson is much larger.

I don't think you can compare Charvel and Squier
My roomates have a Charvel with jackson's pick-up, i played it 3 or 4 times and the touch is very good, it's definately not a cheap guitar.

I wasn't comparing them quality wise. Obviously a Charvel is better than a Squier, I was showing what I understand to be it's relationship with Jackson.
