Recording Programs
My drummer and I might be parting with our rhythm guitarist, and I am in need of a program that you can lay indiviual tracks down with (guitar, then drums, something like that). I was looking at downloading Cakewalk, and using that, but I wasn't sure if there was anything better.
Appreciate any help in advance.

im not sure if you can dl it but cool edit pro is pretty good you can have over 200 tracks going any piece of recording your working on

Yes, its extremely user friendly.. but it isent some kids program.. it can do alot. Just get it off Kazza... if your on a fast connection it wont take long, it took me like 10 minutes.

Cubase is the best program out there. Link it up with Reason and you'll have everything you'll ever need. Dont mess around with anything else, except maybe pro tools.

My drummer is the one who records it. We use a mic to record our stuff, and I'd prefer to do it in sections with a program, instead of this software that he got with his soundcard. You can't layer it. It has to be done all at one time.

Oh, and demon? Most things require the serial of that program, not someone elses. Everytime I accidentally mistype a serial, it always gives me an error. Good luck, though.
Oh, and PPS: Drummer already got Acid Pro.

I know people have said this before but Cool Acid Pro 2 is nice. It holds up to 128 individual tracks for a song. I'm sure that is more than enough for what you need it for. Has some nice effects with it too.
