in flames tone

does anyone know the effects in flames used (guitarists) on whoracle? did they sue distortion pedles or just amp distoriotn, or just any other pedles or anythnig like that? i heard theyre endorsed by randall but everytime i see them they use peavey 5150's. if anyone could help me out, thatd be great.
