Esp Necks?

i played two kirk hammet signature guitars and i was wondering if the M-II has the same type of neck as those guitars. I really like how the hammets fit my hand but i want a maple fretboard because they look cool and sound good.

Well, easier said than done if one isn't available to play.

Innards, are we talking the ESP or LTD series, or one of each? Each series has a neck-thru and bolt-on version, each of which tend to feel very different to the other simply because of the finish, let alone whether they are the same neck shape. I believe the M-II of the same look has a bolt-on neck. Considering the KH series is based around the M-II design, I dare say the necks would be the same if they are both bolt-on. But I've only played one of the KH series (I can't remember which, but it was a neck-thru version) and not the M-II, so I'm only guessing.

Im pretty sure their both LTDs. I may be wrong though. If you like the neck then go for it.

well, the kh-2 and M-II are both real esps... i really like the Kh-2s sound and neck... but i dont like the hammet shit all over it. It'd be different if it was the hanneman guitar with the "offensive" inlay...

I don't know man, but I was trying out a couple of his sig guitars the other day, and is it just me or are the finished necks on the cheaper versions (eg kh-202) fucking crap? Felt like a crap version of a wizard, and the finish was really really grippy

well, ive played the true sig (kh-2) and the ltd with 81s (kh-602) and both had really nice necks that let me move pretty freely without having to worry like those fucking wizard 1s that get hairline cracks so very easily.
