Is a marsall jcm 800 head,a 1960 cab, and a engl e530 preamp a good combo for black/death metal?

if you can afford a jcm 800 you have more than enough money for a tube poweramp..... i mean, you could easily buy two used mesa,marshall or peavey 50/50(2x50w or 100w bridged) style all tube poweramps for the cost of a used 100w jcm 800 head... but you only need one.... so in fact you'd save money and it would probably sound better than running the pre through a head....

or.. if you really want the jcm 800, i'd suggest a proco rat of some kind instead the engl 530....

vht imo are the best poweramps... in second i'd have to say mesa.... then third is kinda a tie between marshall & peavey......

but the vht will cost you... they have a 2/50/2 which is 2x50w, like a 50/50.. or my fav is the 2/90/2, 2x90w... because with the 2/90/2 i'd just run one side cranked and have the other as a backup.... but right now i can't afford it.

I found a 2/90/2 on ebay for 700$(but i would have to bid so it would end up being like 900$), the preamp will cost 400$, and I can find a 300$ cab.

everything from ambient shit like bjork, sigur ros, radio head to sxe hard core like throwdown, to old school punk, to new school punk, to big time metalcore, to death metal... with a lil black metal, definately lots of grind, post hardcore, easy listening, screamo, emo(yes the stuff about broken hearts and pussy fashioncore kids that can't keep their bitches in check), fuckin power metal, thrash metal, techno metal(mindless self indulgence is probably my favorite band ever.),melodicore, core this core that, metal this.....you name it.... that's just my listening though....
i mainly play heavy stuff... the shit that keeps melody and makes sense, then wham... everybody is confused, but it's still structured.... i just take what i like from other styles and craft it into my own.... it's usually heavy though because my band wont do half of the pussy shit i throw at em'

they have no more "emo" to them than any other metalcore/hardcore/heavy band that's big right now....
