If you can you should try them out, i think the EX-100 is better quality than the F-50 although it has only 22 frets whereas the f-50 has 24. And remember looks aint everything.

My friend who just took up guitar has a ESP-LTD F50 just like the first one, i played around with it. Seems to be a pretty good entry level guitar, the neck was sorta rough cut but very playable. Cant make a real sonic evaluation because all we had to jam on was a 25 watt CrizzAte bass amp and a DOD death metal pedal (thats hifi shit there  ) but the pickups are decent enough and upgradable. He said Music123 shipped it and it was covered in soot or some crap, he had to wipe the whole thing off. but other than that it's been fine. and I would guess the EX-100, being higher on the Guitar Model Number Pyramid, would be slightly better but I know nothing about it. I think it looks cooler though  |

I cant decide which one to go for, idc about the looks, im more into the sound.Does the EX-100 have a better sound then the F-50?
It says the EX-100 has LTD LB-100, LN-100 Pickups.

What do you guys think of the EX-50 http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--ESPEX50...
Im not sure which one i want yet. They both have the ESP LH-100 humbuckers, Im just going to replace them anyway, but are they upgradeable. Can i add EMgs to any of these. The EX-50 has titanium which i like....
Do any of you guys know what kind of black the Ex-100 is. Like that shinny gloss black, or plain black......

Those are LTDs not ESPs. And yes you can put EMGs in them given they have enough space for the battery (which they probably do).

well XDX, if you had actives, im sure you would unplug it when your done... the only reason i unplug mine when im done is because i play barefoot sometimes... and the current can elctrocute you it you put it on while its plugged in.

I used to leave my guitar plugged in all the time until one day. I left it plugged in and when I walked by it, I tripped over the cord causing my guitar to fall. Luckly it was ok. So now I always leave my guitar unplugged after using it.

My guitars are on the other side of the room as my amp. So i always unplug them. Plus i cant trust my fucking cat. And all my good guitars go into theirs cases when im not playing them, meaning they must be unplugged.

look at it like this...
a $200-$300 guitar new is probably crap...
a $500-$600 guitar new is probably pretty nice... and you can pick one up used for about half the price give or take a bit depending on the condish...
now, you must be retarded if you can't see the better deal.

Open Grave i will kill you if you don't use Ebay. I got my guitar (Bronze Warlock  ) new instead of checking Ebay because my dad doesnt trust using credit card etc, i like my guitar but there are better ones, and that sort can be found on ebay.

if you have to buy new... i suggest the jackson DXMG, its nice and easier to put better emgs in it because it already has emgs.

why does it have to be a V, you will be paing extra money for the fancy shape, where as you could just get a standard shaped guitar and it would probably be cheaper.

Hmm what do you recommend, something to do with jackson, i dont like those LTDs, i thought about it and tryed it but they suck. My buddy has a jackson DKMG and it sounds sweet, so im thinking about jackson..... I just dont know to much about jacksons either...So any help.. And im only spending 300$-350$

you just need something that plays nice, and sounds decent, but mainly one that you think has a good neck, as you can always get better pickups and stuff later, but then again im not really a gear guru
the best way for that is to go harass some store clerks and ask some complex questions to make the idiots who know nothing piss off (e.g. whats the difference between maple and oak in the body) or something like that, after a few of those sorts of questions, youl find that people who dont know anything about the produts slink away |

maybe if you were going from a single coil to a humbucker or p 90 or something.... but normally all humbuckers are pretty equal in size... any guitar can have the pickups replaced...
