Ah, new Mastodon. Anyone heard this album yet? I just gave it a listen and I must say its very different than the two previous albums but also not as good. I like the fact that this album has a very strong theme (Moby Dick) and the symbology they use with it. I can see this as one of those albums where it takes alot of warming up to but in the end you'll be glad you took the time. I don't think it will be better than Remission though.

Any thoughts?

I don't think there music is getting worse, it's different, less agressive, but still powerfull, and the guitars are complicater
