go through musicians friend catalogs and websites looking for guitars you like and then try to track down a used one or something.

if you are paying 200 bucks might as well get an Ibanez guitar...i have a GRX20L and I love it. Stays in tune, nice sound, good shit. Or go to your local music store and play a bunch of guitars that are in your price range. I'm naturally left handed and I feel extremely comfortable playing left handed as opposed to right. I tried right and it feels wrong and out of place...like throwing a ball with your opposite hand etc. I know people who are left handed should play right but i say play what feels correct when you first pick up a guitar not what some fuck of a teacher tells you or people in general.

Anyway, Sic Metal Corpse, if you do happen to come back (I don't blame you if you don't), what someone said before about sitting down with some guitars in a shop and trying them out for sound and feel is the best piece of advice. I wish I based my early guitars on the judgement instead of looks. I was a Warlock fan myself back then in the early 90's, but I couldn't afford BC Rich so I ended up with some cheap replica by Status.

BC Rich aren't for everyone, certainly not for me these days, but one of them may suit the sound you're after and if it looks cool to you as well... bonus! I have a mate who has a BC Rich Warlock and he's very happy with it. As I said though, go for feel vs sound vs price instead of a look. If you're like me you will not care quite as much for the look in a few years and wish you'd been playing a quality guitar the whole time.
