DUN DUN DUN!!!

I just heard "Laid to Rest" from there upcoming album and I'm a bit nervous. It was pretty good except for that intro part where Randy is just talking. I think the song was good but mixed bad really, I could hardly hear the guitars and I couldn't hear the bass!!! Could this be epic fucking around with the sacred formulas that form Lamb of God?? What do you think of this new song?

It's not a demo I saw the video on the Headbanger's Ball. It does have a bit more mainstream sound but I did like it, I just thought it was mixed bad. Any other opions?

All I heard was 'As The Palaces Burn' and the one before that, I forget the name, and I thought they were awful on the singer's part, I didn'n actually hear the new stuff though. Is it anything like either of those albums?

People tend to forget the genre of Metal now...its either Death, Black, or some other subgenre of metal. I thought the demo was cool and the video version was nice too. It might take some time for you to get into it. That's what happened to me at first. Stupid asses who think shit like this is nu-metal need to be stabbed and reevaluate their thoughts on how much knowledge they have in music.

On a side note I think that the lamb of god singer has a good voice on As the Palaces Burn. The cds previous sound crappy. I think he has unique vocals or somewhat unique which helps to make them sound individual besides just some deep guteral clone that has been done 1000x over.

if lamb of god becomes nu metalish, i will be pissed. They are metalcore anyways, not nu. As the palaces burn is a great cd, except new american gospel was boring...i havent heard the new stuff though.

i like LOG but i think the production could have been better (heavier) on both CD's. it sounds too thrashy for my taste, but its excellent in the car. i pretty much only listen to these guys in the car...driving music baby!!

they fucking rock. the new cd will be good. the old cds are good. and they have a unique sound. the vocals and the guitars are great. the band is metalcore too. not the greatest style of music but they are awesome.

I would say Thrash not metalcore...metalcore tends to have breakdowns and I don't believe they do and clean vocals which they tend not to (except the new song)...

I like LoG, they aren't very heavy, but still good. I havn't heard the new track yet, but i will get it tonight. As soon as the album comes out, i'll let you all know what i think.

I just downloaded the demo version. It sounds much better than the video. It has really grown on me and I can't stop listening to it. IT KICKS ASS!!!

First off, if you listen to the two albums they've put out, they've changed their style from New American Gospel to As the Palaces Burn. Production was drastically different, and they've streamlined their sound significantly since the first album.

The video track sounds different because it's recorded from the album to the video. Things get muffled, lost, etc.

I heard it live a couple weeks back, and it's decent.

Lamb of god just kicks ass who cares what they are, i pre-ordered there new album taht came with some bonus cd, cant wait for them to come to the US with bodom (to bad fear factory is with them).

Their new album is already available on the net, and i checked it out. I am gonna have to say i am pleased since the album sounds alot more thrashy then their last one, and the singers voice has actualy improved.

First off, Everyone stop being faggots and labeling everything. Thrash, metalcore, blah blah blah.... Who cares they are an awesomely technical, angry American metal Band. Singer has an awesome growl, guitars are freakin awesome, bassist is fast, and drummer is just HUGELY incredible...

Other than that, I am dying to buy their new cd. As the Palaces Burn was INCREDIBLE and so was New American Gospel. The new one should be Great in its own right too!

I got there new CD right after school. I was totally blown away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I listened to it 6 times in a row, it rules, screw all of you who bad mouth them!!!!

And they kicked ass at Ozzfest, I'm so happy I went!!!

Yea i got the cd about 5 days before it came out, i listened to it all the way through, i think on this album the wanted their lyrics to be the strong point cause this album is technical as as the palaces burn was IMO, its a little slower and not as many solo's, altough ashes of the wake is a sweet song i must say along with some others. I have also noticed many nu-metal "heads" are starting to notice LOG cause of this album, i talked to kid the other day who said there was some new band out that kicked ass and he liked them when he saw them with atreyu and lacuna coil, i was pretty suprised and just told the kid that they did have great albums before this one and it sucks that you had to see them with those other shitty bands. All in all its ok but when i think of LOG i think of As the Palaces Burn.

As The Palaces Burn was a damn cool album, though I haven't heard the new of as of yet.

To solve this little genre debate: Lamb Of God have incorporated elements of death, thrash and metalcore to become part of what is commonly known as 'The New Wave Of American Heavy Metal' --- they do so alongside such bands as Killswitch (horrible) and Unearth.

Like them or hate them your bickering ('ITS NU-METAL N00BIE') is inconcequential when fact stands.

Oh, yeah, the insturmental "Ashes of The Wake" was awesome, it's one of the few insturmentals that could keep my attention.
