Rhyming?
Do you think rhyming in songs is required? Or just something that can polish your songs but isn't really needed. I won't make an effort not to rhyme, but I don't like it to get in the way of writing and slowing me down. Sometimes when I am delerious songs float out and rhyming can be alright.

hey. everyone has their own opinion. i say no. it's all about the flow. rhyming can help a poem to flow (and in many ways is the easiest) but it is not NEEDED to make a good song. there are a lot of bands who don't rhyme: sepultura, danzig a lot of times, morbid angel, countless others. and very few bands always rhyme. rhyming like all things can be over done in my opinion. there's a point where the rhyming can just get in the way. basically i think rhythem is more important. as long as it flows well with music... who gives a crap if it rhymes, especially in death metal when people aren't singin. ok private message me back if you want to talk to me further about this cause it's doubtful i'll come back to check this thread. ...why does noone post on this forum?! seriously i've posted 2 threads and NOONE has said anything! and i see tons of others that have interesting songs that noone posts on!

When rhyming is done right, it can make the song.

There is no right or wrong. It's personal preference. I do both.
I've had pc problems off and on and haven't been around here much to read so I'll have to get back in the swing again.
