Let's hear it
I've noticed this forum is full of people who brag all day and never deliver shit. So this is for anyone that's ever talked up his skills on this forum - let's hear it.
PC recording is easy and cheap. Record something, original or not, upload it somewhere, and link.

I don't think I've heard a lot of people talking up their skill up here. if you really want to hear something, PM me, but first I'de like to hear you, since you seem to know all about us

I posted one yesterday, it's the "Song I wrote" thread.
I'm not the greatest, but it was fun to do.

thanks! more:
Eikel Eelt - Art Fag <---Anal Cunt cover
Eikel Eelt - Odd Hierarchy <---Our first real song, the guitar sounds crap though, gotto rerecord it sometime.
Eikel Eelt - Tribute to New Zealand <---A sort of joke song we did with a FEX from New Zealand.
A site is coming real soon, just as our first demo, witch we will distribute to some compagnies, labels and zine's and hope to get an official release. It could work out i must say, since i have seen labels putting out really crappy porntechnogore stuff.

unless someone says hey this is so and so from metaltabs before they play then this idea is kinda dumb, all someone has to do is upload something that they didnt play and says its them just covering it or something and besides darko every once and a while and someother guy the other day i have never really seen anyone brag about their skills

Maybe we just interpret things differently.
You're right..someone could steal someone else's stuff, but that takes all the fun out of it and doesn't seem to be worth the trouble. I just like to share my creations with everyone and I like to hear others' work and skill also.

my shit isn't too great, at least half of you could own my playing any day of the week, especially since i'm pretty new to the more brutal styles so my arrangement and stuff in them are still pretty basic, anyway i'll upload something off our portable hard drive when i get it off my bassist later tonight. i'll probly get flamed for some of the stuff but shit, it's still something we wrote

Hahaha...younguitarist knows what's up, he even guessed the thread that prompted me to start this one.
This turned out pretty cool though, a few people are actually posting shit. I'd like to hear from Deadnightwarrior.

Your tone sounds pretty good. A little repetitive but cool, sounds like Pantera at parts.

The timing is off in alot of places, I think the melodies are cool though.
I'll improv a little and post some of the material I've been fucking around with lately here in a bit.

Thanks.
I dunno bout digitalplanet, I just use my ISP. I know alot of people who use soundclick and they like it. Only problem is they send you spam every now and then, but I think you can upload as much stuff as you like and they even provide a copyright.

damn good improvising atif. What scale was he using? The start was a bit of a turn off, some of the notes hit didn't belong.

The playing on your recordings is very good. The recordings themselves really suck though, gotta get a better mic or something.

Here's a better version of the song I posted last week. I changed the snare, bass, and tom sounds. I took the Snare off of Dechristianize, the Bass drum off of Heretic, and the Toms also off of Dechristianize. And I tweeked the production a little. It still needs the guitar tracks to be re-recorded due to some slight 5am sloppyness in some parts, and a bass track to be recorded to give it a more full sound.
New version
Old version
Enjoy

i have this song recorded for a little while, but never got the time to finnish it. Music is written by me, lyrics by BestialWarrior from this forum. It's not synchone all the time and its played a bit sloppy but you get the point when you here it. Vocals also done by me *ahum*.

Well I wanted to post this and I didn't
know where,so I'll post it here.
It's just some improvisation(except 2 of the riffs)
that I'm thinking of making into a song.
Please tell me what you think(though I don't
think anyone will like it).

there that and a classical song that i played on electric. i wouldnt have fucked up if i had my classical guitar with me. on the slayer song we didnt really tune the guitars together. so i didnt sound very good in some parts but overall i would say its good. the solo was just made up on the spot with lots of whammy bar action.

Thanks, Ive been playing since i was seven, ive just started to get lessons, i started jazz lessons in May, im self taught mostly, i had a few lessons every now and then like twice a year to see if im on track. I used mostly guitar pro, Pace maker for Winamp, and a metronome. If your starting now get a metronome and practice for at least 2 hours a day and study theory.

so why didnt you tune your guitars?
On the main riff thing it sounds pretty bad because of that.

Nah, I'm not starting but I've neglected the use of a metronome and theory but I'm still pretty good...

A site is coming real soon, just as our first demo, witch we will distribute to some compagnies, labels and zine's and hope to get an official release. It could work out i must say, since i have seen labels putting out really crappy porntechnogore stuff.

Thanks, I've really been into the exotic stuff, especially spanish, and harmonic minor stuff. I finally convinced my band to write a more death metallish song, and we incorporated that into it. It sounds badass when I do some spanish stuff, and then all of a sudden it gets heavy. I even wear a sombrero when doing it, just for the effect.

That was just improvisation. I've been working on it a lot lately, when I get my amp back from the house where band practise is at, I will record a new one with my new ideas

Mainstream shit. Our singer sucks, but is convinced he is our singer, and gets pissed off when we play DM. Then again, I'm the only one who likes it. I've been working hard so that my control freak friend, the other guitarist, doesn't ruin my riffs, and the intent of the song.
All they ever say is "we need quiet time for singing," and mainstream music has plagued there minds into thinking that everything has to be:
Intro
verse
chorus
verse
chorus
half assed solo
chorus
The riffs I've wrote for it are pretty badass though. Starts off sort of spanish influenced, but mixes the harmonic minor sort of egyptian style into the whole bit.

What bands are you considering mainstream?
You should kick him out if hes a control freak.

Before summer we were playing Sum41, 1 metallica song, 1 ozzy song, 2 of our own made up songs that sucked, Jet (are you gonna be my girl), The white stripes, billy talent.
I think there were more. I didn't mind playing metallica (enter sandman), or ozzy (crazy train), but the rest were nauseating. Any one of you on this forum could play the other songs with your toes.
Kicking a member out would be very very hard. We are all best friends, and have been for a long time. The rhythm guitarist just rarely practises, and yet he acts like boss. I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I am the most talented in the band. The drummer is 4'11 but damn, he can drum pretty damn good. Then there is our bass player who I don't think has ever practised bass in his life, he'd rather play guitar and we always give him hell for it. I wouldn't be surprised if he was better than our rhythm guitarist by now. He is our singer, and not a good one at that, so I think that if he is a better guitarist I will ask him if he wants to take Mike's (rhythm guitarists) place, if he gives up singing. I really wish we had another guitarist that could play my riffs. All he really does is play the power chords that correspond with the riff.
So that is my story.

Jet?? White Stripes?? I feel real bad for you dude.
Id try to get them to practice more and get them more into metal so your not stuck with shitty musicians playing shitty music just because theyre your friends.

Being in a band is about the best practise you can get. Bands aren't exactly chomping at the bit to get a (sorry for those who get offended when I state my age *cough DEAD *cough) 14 year old in their band.
I guess I will just force them to practise
