In England, we never use 'mate' in the context of wives or husbands - it's always used as a form of address, for example: "A'right, mate", "Cheers, mate" or "Fuck off, mate, or I'll crack you skull open and piss all over what you claim to be a brain". Y'know, the usual sort of stuff.

Yeah, they're all in Amsterdam because it hasn't stopped being miserable over here all summer! Even the last few days when it's been hot it's been raining 80% of the time.
About the prostitute situation, us English tend to see somebody who uses prostitutes not as somebody who wants to fuck, but as somebody who can't get a fuck any other way but to pay for it. Ow, I spoke to a goth today and he called Cradle Of Filth the most anti-christian band ever... I mean O_O! Me and my boyfriend giggled a little and promised to lend him some CDs.
I have an acquaintance who I don't spend much time with. I've known him for a couple of years, but I've never known that he was a shoplifter, and he stole hundreds worth of stuff at times. He was never caught because he's good at it. It's very sad, I had to talk him out of taking something today, it was difficult. He wouldn't have to steal if he had a job, I had a resume made up today, it would be much easier for him to find a job. It's sad and it makes me angry.

ah that was a good camping trip. Great to bring a friend along orelse I would have been bored out of my mind. This beast girl our family was camping with threw the ball as hard as she could (which is fucking hard, she plays baseball) right at my friend which he was supposed to catch. She through it from only about 5-6 feet away. It made the funniest sound when it hit his head, he sucked it up and was fine but he had the biggest fucking goose egg hahah. The stiches from the baseball are imprinted in his head.
Anybody seen the village? I want to know if it is any good, I am dying to see it. I was going to go with my friend today but he has already seen it, that bastard. He didn't seem to like it but we don't necessarily share the same taste in movies.

Cable has slower uploads, and usually have bandwidth caps. Plus at peak hrs your speed will suck because everyone in your community shares one connection, where as with DSL everyone gets their own connection so your speed is constant, and you dont have any bandwidth caps.
