Comes up with this weird message about initializing doom 3, but then it doesnt respond and is required to shut down.

heh i have to side with BLS on this one, most likely half life 2 will suck (well updated counterstrike graphics would be cool), halo sucked the first time and will suck again in halo 2. doom is probably the best experience i've had on this PC short of realizing i can stream porn when i got dsl.

Okay, I have an Athlon (AMD) XP 3000+ operating system at 2 256MB DDRs, a GForceFX 5500 256MB video card, and a combo DVD/CD player at (DVD)16x and CD 52x. Doom 3 is still a little slow at times. Rarely but it does, and when it does happen, ha, it always seems to happen when I open a door...so a monster can eat me before I get a first shot....damn

Make sure anti-aliasing is off (in advanced options). That'll slow any computer down. Set it to medium detail, and in the game.. set the res to 800x600. Not on your desktop.
It runs slow for me, naturally, because I'm running it on 1.6 GHz and 256 MB of RAM. But I'm used to it.

The key is usually next to "F12". It should say "print screen". Just press that and the paste it in paint and save.

press F12 to take a screenshot.
The reason the pics look shitty and dull is becuase doom save the pics as a .TGA file... i dunno why. So i had to resave it as a JPEG which lower the quality. Im running Medium quality i think.

and i dont have nero eighter i dl´ed it but u must have a serial number.
also tryed to copy the "disk" in the virtual but my burn prog (roxio easy cd creator) cuoldnt find the virtual unit.
