yea emo is when the lyrics are real emotional, key examples are talking about girlfriends, kissing, crying. its rather hard to explain, because i dont think using emotions for lyics is bad at all, its just the way they do it.

I'll back up my opinion:

Atreyu to me is your run-of-the-mill hardcore band. I don't mind love or emotional lyrics at all, but just like the myraid Gore and Anti-Christian lyrics that are completely over done, so Atreyu does with the love theme. I dislike over dramatic bands. But most of all, I abhor hardcore. The vocals, the music, the all to familiar melodies, the trying-to-be strangly-off-time-down-picked-yet-predictable-breakdowns are oh so reptitive. And the clothes and style that spawned is just like corpsepaint to me; a tottally useless trend. So for me to like a hardcore band, they have truly got to stand out (The End, Ion Dissonance). And yes I have heard The Curse and no I don't like it. The CD (along with the previous) just sounds like one long song. Anywho, agree or disagree; thats my two cents.

To much 70s respawning and broken relationships and such for me to handle. If anything I want war lyrics and stuff to come back like I've said a thousand times over. Also lyrics about midaeval times/dark ages/etc. Few bands have kept it going i.e. Amon Amarth, Ancient Rites. But most just talk about their lost loves...wish they'd get the fuck over it and move on. Cuz if you dwindle on something for to long it might end killing you.

Clothing style? I just dress practicle. Shorts, shirts, jeans, and no major clothing lines or advertisments (they should pay me to advertise, not the other way around). I won't spend over 30$ for any article of clothing..anything above that is just rediculous.

If someone is into style, thats fine but I have a stoic mindset in these inane marterials. I don't think music should determine how you dress.

I dress... i usually wear jeans and my Burzum or Mayhem shirt i need more clothes i guess im... i dunno, i like wearing metal shirts, cos thats what i like. I guess it doesnt really matter, i just like wearing metal shirts.
