OPINION:John Petrucci
What do you think about Dream theater guitarist John Petrucci?I think he's extremely good all melodicwise,rythmwise and shredwise.

comparing him to yngwie is a little.. i don't know.. pointless. it's like comparing him to chet atkins or jimmy page.. there's no real comparison :P

Petrucci is good, but dream theater gets kinda boring with just singing and petrucci playing e5 or b5 rhythms over and over. Liquid Tension Experiment is much better in my opinion, or Dream Theater instrumentals.

all the side projects of dream theater members are awesome. liquid tension experiment is better "music" in my opinion. with DT, they've had to keep in mind commercial validity to make lots of $$ to fund their sweet side projects. LTE blows me away comparatively.
