Arch Enemy, At The Gates, and The Haunted.
The Haunted is exspecially fun to play, they use 5150's so i can get my sound pretty dman clsoe to theirs. I love how thier 5150's sound on "On Kill Wonder" Its so raw and agressive.

i also like playing my own material, tho another favorite is taking old tunes and doing metal covers,
we've done house of the rising sun, sweet home alabama, and did a lil rip off pantera and type o and have done cinnamon girl and cat scratch fever, and of course any sabbath tune i can get a chance to play

It seems that 'Death' is a majority favourite here. I enjoy SOP and Symbolic. Got 5 songs off each for now.
I would like to play Sepultura but don't they change their tunings alot?

I like to play lots of mithotyn, lots. I also play COF, those riffs have been with me for years.
My favorite songs to play are
Mithotyn-shadows of the past, hail me, in the sign of the ravens, embraced by frost, and under the banner. and a bunch of riffs here and there.
COF-funeral in carpathia, cthulu dawn, queen of winter throned
Im pretty damn lazy on tabbing these days so i havnt done much in a long time. I usually play my own stuff now, which is good so that i can have a better feel for it when i play somewhere it counts.

agreed. i love amon amarth, although some of their stuff can be rather hard to improvise in drop C. (i can NOT be fucked with the full C tuning)
though i like black metal, i tend not to play it as it is a tad easy. (good to tab though  )
but i just play anything from old-school slayer, to melodic death, to attempting psycroptic.....with about a 40% sucess rate |
