The County Medical Examiners
I was wondering if you guys heard of this band, The County Medical Examiners. I discovered them while skimming through Impaled's website. These guys to me sound very impressive, and they have a awesome vocalist. But if you ever seen the band, you'd never guess they played grindcore, because they're all really doctors. But the oddest thing to me is that their bassist is 60 years old. But musically, if you like Carcass or Impaled, check them out. There's also some MP3s on their site. My favorite song to download is Cooperative Cadaveric Custody.

Not too great, have their split and full-length already.

i was at a general surgery concert and i wanted to buy a cd, but they only had the split with TCME, so i bought that one, its cool, but not very original, mediocre.
edit: is that grandpa really playing bass in that bad??

Are you sure they are doctors?
When Carcass first came out there was
a rumor that the members were coroners!

No, Jeff Walker's sister was a med student who later became a nurse. He used her medical dictionary to write lyrics.
Yes, they are all doctors, thier old bassist used to be an early 20's woman who was a med student but had to leave because of teh demands from school. They are nothing special, I bought thier album sight on seen a little after it came out because of how big I am into Carcass, upon hearing it, I asked myself "Why dont I just listen to 'Symphonies...'?"

I'm with you guys, I prefer Carcass alot more. But if you think TCME is odd, while at the Impaled site, I found a grind band whose singers are two pit bulls.

yup, their first song locking jaws is really good, but the second one available on the site just cant make it up to the high standart they have set for themselfs with locking jaws.
Still very good and original

The most exact sounding Carcass clone outta the lot. If you like Carcass, you'll like them. Their full length on Razorback however wasnt all that good, expected much more. The high vocals on that were almost irritating.. also the production could've been better (raw or muddy). Their split with General Surgery is pretty good though.
