i need help getting a morbid angel..sound..

im trying to get a death metal sound with my amp and my boss mt-2...but i have gay equiqment...i have a job and saving up...but can u help me with death metal amp settings and how my mt2 can help out....my equipment..is and epiphone special 2..and epiphone amp

If you want THE Morbid Angel sound, you will need a tube amp. Period. A MT-2 will only so little.

my mt-2 sounds great i dont know the setting though....there was a thread about settings a bit back search for it, if you want a MA sound then get a RAT distortion pedal....iv heard there not that good but thats what they use

what kind of morbid angel sound are you looking for? (tell us what album sound you want) its changed a lot over the years...

3 months ago I was on Morbid Angel concert (tourig with Krisiun).....and I had chance to speak with Trey for about 10 minutes about his sound and his rig.
The guy said that real key to his sound is ProCo's Rat distorsion in combination with any tube power amp.........live he used 2 Marshall heads - JCM 800 & 900, 2 Rats in rack + graphic EQ + BBE Sonic Maximiser, some delay& reverbs.........but he said that Rat and any tube Marshall is just enough to get any of his sound right
