Go try them out, the combo is very different from the head.

i dont know about the technical stuff with the biasing and the whatnot

what i do know is that the amp has a monster tone, louder than youll ever need (2 is louder than drums) and is beyond heavy. its the weight that would drop the rank for me from a 8/10 to at least a 7/10.

Their more differences between the combo and the head than the bias.
The lead channel has less gain (Much like the 5150II) and its voiced darker.

you must not play with alot of drummers... my guitarist's head(120w) is between 4-10 depending on where we're playing/practicing and if he's going to be mic'd up... and he's going through 4-12's..... but then again he's competing with me, a vocalist and a drummer that isnt a pussy.....

but yes the combo can do loud pretty well.... 60w tube with 2-12's is pretty loud. just because you have twice the wattage and # of speakers with the halfstack doesnt mean the combo wont be enough for you....
