I'm older then both of you, but he really sounded like a 14 year old back there.
but I think you where just unlucky with your dreads, mines where nice from the start but after a few months they get more grown in and they won't be fuzzy anymore, I think I'll have super tight dreads in 3 or 4 months.
you can't really remove dreads, how the hell did you do that? just cut of the fuckers.

i was going to get dreads in april, but i have decided to just keep growing my hair long
right now its shoulder length, abit longer then that actually, the girls love it

ive had my hair pink, purple, blue, red, the list goes on and on, but never any dreads, its so long theyd prolly end up gettin real nasty after awhile.

nah it smells nice and frisky and it won't stain if you don't put to much in your dreads.
when you wash your hair you'll need to re-wax your hair, washing your dreads is good because it dries out your hair pretty fast so it makes them tighten (but you do need to wax them straight after)

im growing out my hair, been growing it for about a year so far. I used to just have it real short and gel it every morning, it was kinda stupid now that i think about it. Long hair rules, i love it, it reachs to the middle of my neck, almost shoulder length. The main reason i wanted to grow it out was to get dreads so i shall be a dreadhead sooner or later.
when you "wax" your dreads, do you wax just at the roots, or the whole dread? and where can you get this wax?

ehm, glueing is not the way, LOL
backcombing or using permanent stuff work though. there's more ways.

the only reason i don't get dreads is
because i have a sensitive scalp, my
head will itch, and i will get bad dandriff.
so i brush it.

The drummer in one of my old bands used to have the shittiest nastiest dreads i've ever seen. Our singer and other guitarist did them for him. They each did their own side. So he ended up with 2 big fat dreads on one side and about 4 little ones on the other side. It looked like complete shit but he liked 'em. Had 'em for atleast a year.
I don't like dreads though, but I recently decided to quit cutting my hair and I got kind of a mullet goin on right now. Not a true mullet, but kind of resembles one.

I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD GET DREADS BECAUSE I GET EASILY BORED WITH THINGS, ESPECIALY WHEN IT COMES TO MY APPEREANCE, AND I WOULDN'T LIKE TO GROW MY HAIR JUST TO CUT IT WHEN I GET BORED WITH DREADS. AND ABOUT THE GLUE THING, I'VE DONE THAT BEFORE. I USED TO DO "LIBERTY SPIKES" ONCE IN A WHILE AND WHEN MY HAIR GOT TOO LONG AND THEY WOULDN'T STAY UP I GLUED THEM DOWN AND HAD DREADS FOR A DAY. THEY DIDN'T LOOK TOO BAD AND IT WAS COOL BECAUSE IT WAS EASY TO TAKE OUT, HOT WATER DID THE TRICK.
ANYWAY, I WAS THINKING ABOUT MUSICIANS WITH DREADS AND CHRIS BARNES CAME TO MIND. HE LOOKS PRETTY FUCKIN FUNNY GROWLING GORE FILLED LYRICS AND SPITTING OUT HIS INSIDES IN THE "WHEN THE DEAD WALKED" VIDEO WITH DREADS. ALSO, MAX CAVALERA CAME TO MIND. I DON'T KNOW IF WHAT HE HAS ON HIS HEAD ARE DREADS OR NOT BUT I KNOW I DEFINETLY WOULDN'T DO WHAT HE DID. I SAW HIM HEAD BANGING IN THE "PRIMITIVE" VIDEO AND HIS HAIR DIDN'T EVEN MOVE!

max cavalera's hair is weird, i think it stopped growing or something cause its been the same color for the longest time ever since he dyed it yellow and green. But he's got 1 dread i think, and then some hair that just doesn't move.

one of my friends tried to do something (i'm not sure what) to his hair (the most gorgeous hair in the world) to make it stand, and he glued it with superglue or whatever, well, he can now only show in public with a hood...

Ok, I have some friggin' questions about friggin' dreads agian. I think Def is the only one that can help but if theres others than cool. I've had them for about...2 months I think and they still feel kinda loose. And theres a lot of loose hairs and shit. I stopped backcombing them about a month ago cause I heard that you just backcomb them to knot them up and then stop so you don't take out the lock. I've been using dreadheadhq wax once a week too. I also used wash them once a week too but now its been a little over 2 week.
So why are they still kinda loose? And what can I do about the loose hairs? Should I backcomb again?
I think I'm on the wrong forum for a question like this so I'll post it up on a dread site too...

I had dreads for a year. After a while they got realy ugly and loose, and the itch was horible. Thus i decided to just cut them off, and i'm regrowing my hair.
But it sucks, because my hair is neither long nor short, so i just look like a twat right now.

I found a way to tighten my dreads like ropes...rub them clockwise in the shower for 20 min. I can't even squeeze them with my fingers they're so tight. Tight like nu-wejia's mom |
