Lykathea Aflame
Who here has heard this incredible band? I have been hooked for weeks now. An amazing mix of brtuality, melody, technicality and amazing atmosphere. And their drummer is simply godly. He makes flo look like a chump (not quite, but he's in the same vein).

Been into them for ages now. I made a thread on them before I think? Or commented somewhere else - I don't remember.
Anyhow, amazing band. Although, they broke up, reformed with a new band name (Lykathe) and dropped the vocalist.

Got a link ? Sounds interesting.
EDIT : Nevermind, I just found that : http://alchemyst.morbidminds.net/mu...Lykathea+Aflame
Their drummer is really good, but I don't like the music.
RE-EDIT : They're actually better than what I thought. Depends on the song : Flowering Entities is incredible.

"To Give" and "A Step Closer" are the 2 best songs there (they're all amazing except for "To Become Shelter and Salvation")

You commented in my thread in the tab request.
Sure, their vocalists are gone, but they were session guys (and girl) I believe. I'm sure their next efforts will be incredible as well.

Fucking awesome band! Melodic but yet extremely brutal. I thank Jarrod, once again.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've gotta say this. I've had the mp3's of their album 'Elvenfris' for close to a year now, but I only listened a couple of times and completely forgot about them. I 'rediscovered' them again a few hours back, this time I gave them a proper listen. And HOLY SHIT, I can't believe how good this band is! This is some of the weirdest, most wonderful music I've ever heard!
Fuck, I feel like a total dumbass, how could I have "forgotten" (not the right word, but whatever) about this band? I invite everyone who's into something different to 'czech' (oh, that's a terrible pun) this band out. I think you shouldn't make your opinion on this band until you've listened quite a few times, most of you wouldn't be able to take it all in the first time.
I'm fucking ecstatic though, because now I have something that will hopefully keep me occupied until the new Nile and Deeds come out! you can't help but get lost in this amazing stuff, its the most original shit I've heard in ages. There isn't really a genre for this music, I doubt it anyway. I'm definately buying this.

I'm afraid you're gonna have to search around for an Mp3, they ain't too easy to find I don't think. Try soulseek, that's where I got lucky.

Been into them for about a year, fuckin EPIC timeless band. I hope they put out something awesome on their next album too, despite the lineup changes.
Also download Appalling Spawn, they're the same band just a different name, really cool stuff! I have it, and if anyone wishes I can megaupload it for you. But it's pretty easy to find on Soulseek and DC++

I think it's safe to say now it's my favourite album, period. I still can't stop listening to it.

Haha same. They're an on-and-off band for me. I can spend 2 weeks listening to it nonstop, forget about em for 2 months then go OMFG why did I stop listening to this, and the cycle ensues.
