FINAL FANTASY VII! FINALLY! I FINALLY GOT THE SUM' BITCH.
And I still had my data at the beginning of Disc 2, from about 2 years ago, suprisingly.

a load of cds since last month, I guess about 30-40 cd's,
mainly shit like NJ Bloodline, the lastest DEP, some old anthrax shit I was missing, some bit of morbid angel I was missing and some other stuff like Madball and a lot of metalcore.
ohyeah and about 10 cd's of blues and ancient driving jazz, just to add some diversity, I need a new cd rack, heading into the 4-500's now...

Another time I bought a box of chocolates, a 30 pack of Trojans and Febreeze...and I used them in that order.

Altithronus - The Beauty of Dying CD-R demo
Good melodic Black Metal, bit similiar to new Dimmu Borgir.
Arckanum / Svartsyn split CD
Arckanum is again its typical style of raw and fast Black Metal, Svartsyn is doomish and raw Black Metal. Great split.
Mortuary Drape - Mourn Path MCD
They sound like old Morbid Angel, but the style is more Black Metal than Death.
Nazxul - Totem CD
Very raw Black Metal with influences from Beherit. The atmosphere of this record is one the bests which I have heard, very hateful and dark.
Nibdem - Destroy Yourself 3" CD-R demo
This is again one these suicidal/melancholic BM vein bands, very sharply distorted guitars, few riffs, monotonous drumming and vocals filled with lot of emotion. Sounds good, but doesn't beat Shining or Dödfödd yet still works fine with these two.
Nokturnal Mortum - Goat Horns CD
This was damn good stuff, epic, folkish and symphonic Black Metal in the true slavonic spirit. These slavish folk elements work very fine with this kind of music, some times it is very raw Black Metal, but sometimes it is with folk parts. Could be compared to Finntroll somehow (but this doesn't have any polka elements on their music). Anyone who is even slightly interested of Folk black/death/dark metal should own this.
Sort Vokter - Folkloric Necro Metal CD
Very simplistic and primitive Black Metal, music is very monotonous and it causes very hypnotic effect to you. Vocals are damn good ones.
Vargavinter - Frostfödd CD
Boring stuff, they sound like a symbiosis of old Gorgoroth and Cradle of Filth.

No I haven't heard, I am just getting more into folk/viking/pagan Black Metal, and bands like Nokturnal Mortum will definitely help in it. Now I am going to look to their NeChrist album. I hope it is even close to Goat Horns style.

These arrived last week:
Liturgy - Dawn of Ash
Malignancy - Intrauterine Cannibalism
I also have the following winging their way from America:
Suffocation - Souls to Deny
Necronomicon - Pharoah of Gods
Vile - Depopulate
Deeds Of Flesh - Reduced to Ashes
If any of those are sold out, I'll get sent either:
Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated, or
Disavowed - Perceptice Deception
I'm itching in anticipation all ready!

Yeah, I've ordered that album the last two times I've bought from Unique Leader. It's been out of stock on both occasions so they sent me one of my alternatives in it's place. Fingers crossed they have it this time.

Deeds Of Flesh - Reduced to Ashes
If any of those are sold out, I'll get sent either:
Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated, or
Disavowed - Perceptice Deception
|
Very nice choices. Devourment is kinda, wife-beating metal. You'll know what I mean, if it ends up in your mailbox. And Reduced to Ashes.. well, it is just a must have.

Yeah, I'm kind of wishing that I chose Devourment instead of Necronomicon now. Oh well, there's always next time.

I picked up the new devolved album a little while ago (yet to listen as im still at school) and strangely enough, the vocalist that was kicked out (Nik Carpenter) is listed as the vocalist on the CD
i know alot of you dont care or know what im talking about, so in breif, Devolved are basically, a death metal version of Fear Factory's first album. ( www.devolved.net - there should be a full song on there called Fractured if anyone cares to listen)

Falkenbach - Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty CD
My expectations were high after the amazing Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri, and this didn't failed me, though this album wasn't as good as Magni.., it still was in the vein of the great Falkenbach style, Bathory riffs, heavy synths, classical instruments and majestic Viking atmosphere. Ok Nefta.. has more clean vocals than Magni.. but that is not bad thing, because clean vocals fits to this style of music better than rasp/guttural distorted. This is again one of the best Viking Metal releases ever.
VON - Satanic Blood Angel CD
This CD includes the Satanic Blood and Blood Angel demos + some live stuff, VON's music is very simple and brutal Black Metal, In Satanic Blood demo there sounds to be only one riff on each song, expect the instrumental song, Veadtuck. All the songs' drumming structures are exactly identical with each other (fast blastbeat), vocals are some times guttural and some times raspy, and those have a sustained and a bit echoed effect. Some people could call that their music is just bad played, untalented etc. and actually it might is, but because all songs' assemblies are brilliantly built into very monotonous structure and it causes a very hypnotic effect to you. And therefore I could rise this album bit higher, but there comes much better acts from USA than this.

Oh yeah I forgot, also the remasters of Rust in Peace and Peace Sells. Man, Peace Sells is such an improvement. Did they add backing vocals in Rust in Peace or did they make the old ones louder?

The Immolation DVD!
Edit: Right, now that i have watched the whole thing its time for some wife style bitching: Yes, Of Matyrs & Men/Father, You're Not A Father/Unholy Cult/Sinful Nature are good songs, but the DVD doesnt need 3 different versions of each song, they could have played some different shit since they new it was for the DVD. And they fucked up the video clip of Sinful Nature too, since the drummer has a shirt on for ALL scence except one 2 second shot. Good Job Editor! And the "backstage bit, has a fucking anoying fuzz sound. All up im not particuarly impressed that i had to pay 50 bucks to see the above mensioned songs over and over.
