I love this austrian black metal band. Alot of people think they suck, but I love them. They have so many cool guitar riffs, even if they aren't super complicated. They were also one of the first bands to start using sound clips in their songs. Like singing choirs and shit, so I think they may have influenced cradle of filth and dimmu borgir type black metal bands. What's your opinion?

I didn't like Abigor's newest stuff, but the old Abigor definitely rocks. Orkblut and Nachthymnen were ones of the best Austrian Black Metal records ever recorded. Abigor combines symphonic stuff into very raw Black Metal, by making the music very atmospheric and epic, and this does works very well (sometimes).

I have Surpreme Immortal Art and I enjoy it.

I greatly look forward to owning their cds. Ive heard enough to buy it anyday, but i havnt took the time, or money. good band

yep, its true. and fucking got old a long time ago. They speak like black metal is fucking rap or something. I think there are more things to criticize about death metal then black. Death metal gets so boring, the solos are usually wacky notes flying everwhere, and some bands have song after song that sounds so alike to the ones played before. I dont mean all death metal, but most. I dont hardly ever bad mouth death metal due to the surplus of its followers here, but when i here a bunch of shit talked about black metal, its just not fucking necessary. Black metal has way more feeling in its music than death metal could ever create. I wouldnt care so much, but i fucking play black metal and you people are calling me gay becuase of it. I put a lot of time and and thought into it, and then i get bullshit like "black metal sucks" "black metal is gay". When death metal isnt melodic, it has nothing on black metal guitars. I wont even go into keyboards. and as for drums, both sides are good. Whats with all the shit talk about black metal.

I agree. I grew out of Black Metal but I used to be OBSESSED with it and when I made a thread about black metal all I would get was shit from Death Metallers. I vote stay in your own ballpark and things will be fine.

There are but a few bands of each genre worth listening to in my opinion, and I could tool on both. But I don't for the simple fact that each has it's highlites. All this insulting of metal genres makes metal fans look bad. It's fucking metal either way, the best shit on earth. Tool on the player not the sport.

I totally agree with timedragon, and for addition, why metalheads should despise other metal genres, which they don't really like? Metalheads should despise rap, techno, pop and other shit music, not METAL.

I think that deathsters despise black metal because of the fact that it as been dominating the metal scene for some time now; The strong presence of Black metal is the main reason why Death metal is fading away.

The main reason death metal is fading is because almost all the newer death acts sound so fucking alike, and just plain borring. If enough bands as good and original as lets say nile come out, then death will be revived but it's not likely.
