this is played pritty fast is pritty much, it just does n't sound right to me when i play it though i hold my finger across the 1st first finger across 12th fret of the 2 strings at all times, should i be playing it like that?

Um...its a legato. Keep your index finger on both 12th fretted noted and use your pinky for the 17th fret and your ring finger for the 15th. Its easy as hell to play

What song is it from? that looks sorta like part of the intro solo to Alone in the Dark by Testament.

Its just a big stretch. It shouldnt be that hard with a little practice.

So I guess you're saying the notes kinda ring into each other making it sound messy. Try feeling it in your index finger to cut of the note real short.

try finding a different position for those notes, or roll your index finger to mute the 12s so they don't ring out together.
