My cousin has a Line 6 SpiderII combo, the 210 combo, and he asked me, "Can you hook up a cab with this amp?" Im guessing so when u play live the guitar sound can come from both dirrectionc of the stage.....my answer was i have no idea..so i was wondering, can you hook up a cab to a line 6 combo such as the 210 combo?

As long as it has a speaker out, which I'm almost positive it does.

a direct out is something to go out to a mixer or separate poweramp.
a speaker output or poweramp output is what it needs... if you're smart with wires and good with a soldering iron you could disconnect the internal speakers, then make a special cable with a 1/4'' on one end and the other connected to the wires that were connected to the speakers. then he could push a 4x12 for more volume. so he would be turning his combo into a head, if he doesnt mind not using the internal speakers.

disconnect the wires going from the amp to the speaker...
go to radio shack, buy a couple of 1/4" jacks and some speaker wire.
solder the 1/4" jack onto one end, connect the other end of the wire to the wires you disconnected from rhe amp's speakers. then plug the 1/4" end into a cab.....
just make sure you match up the ohm-age. and that the +&- sides of the cable.......
then you should be fine.
