Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM have been added to the upcoming CANNIBAL CORPSE North American tour, which is set to begin in late October. Also set to appear on the bill are NAPALM DEATH, VADER and GOATWHORE.

Commented KATAKLYSM vocalist Maurizio Iacono: "This tour will be massive, everyone on it is killer!! [It] feels wierd to be one of the youngest band on it and we are 13 years old!!

"NAPALM DEATH have been a big influence on KATAKLYSM and it's gonna be amazing to share the stage with them and our old friends in VADER and the legendary CANNIBAL CORPSE.

"We will be switching positions every night with GOATWHORE so we strongly urge everyone to come early!!!

CANNIBAL CORPSE's upcoming October/November tour that featured KATAKLYSM, NAPALM DEATH, VADER and GOATWHORE in support has been effectively postponed due to an injury within the CANNIBAL CORPSE camp. In a recent press release, vocalist Corpsegrinder is said to have sustained a fractured ankle during rehearsal and will be "taking it easy" - More on this soon.

Polish death metallers VADER have been forced to drop off the upcoming North American tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE, NAPALM DEATH, GOATWHORE, and KATAKLYSM due to an injury suffered by the band's frontman, Peter. An official statement from the group's manager, Mariusz Kmioek, reads as follows:

"We are sorry to inform everyone that during Scandinavian tour (October 2004) Peter has suffered from a minor spinal injury (vertebra-related) and will have to undergo a procedure to set things right (1 week at hospital and 2 weeks of rehabilitation). The only possible date to enter the hospital and fix it is in October, so we have decided on not going on our US tour! Our first idea was to schedule the procedure at hospital next year, but it would be big risk for Peter's health.

"We'd like to apologize all people — Metal Blade USA, First Row Agency, CANNIBAL CORPSE and their booking agency, NAPALM DEATH and all maniacs - we are very sorry and we'd like to thank everyone for all their hard work in booking and arranging this tour! It's the first cancelled tour in our long (18 years) activity, and it's really a shock for us!

Isnt there a date of that tour October 11th in Wisconsin? ill goto that one or probably the one in Chicago November 13th that would hella sweet, my reason for going was Vader, Kataklysm is forgettable, and Cannibal Corpse and Naplam Death tho will be a great show, But I would have liked to see Vader what a bitch.
