DAMN RIGHT!!!!
Cephalic and Cryptopsy - two of the greatest bands ever....EVER!!
Cryptopsy better not only play shit from the Lord Worm days, in my humble opinion, the other guy is a fuckload better then Lord Worm...listen to the verses in Born Headless then listen to any song off Whisper or Then You'll Beg and tell me Lord Worm doesn't blow in comparison.

Lord Worm fucking puts Mike DiSalvo's fucking ass away, DiSalvo has the worst voice EVER, EVER, EVER. I can't even express how much I hate vocals like that.

granted, i didn't like them at first, but in comparison i like Disalvo's better.
Disalvo just has your standard Montreal style that kills.
None so Vile is a good album, i just wanna here other stuff too...oh well, thier coming to Ottawa later that month anyways for Deathfest (possibly a multiple day event) so hopefully they'll play more shit at that show.

I didn't like Disalvo's voice at first either. But I think it matches Cryptopsy's last two albums better than LW could have. I feel alot of anger in Mike's voice too.

Capharnaum is from United States...
You could also add ATHERETIC !!! ATHERETIC, ATHERETIC, nobody ever mention them when they talk about canadian metal. I must admit their LP didn't get them much recognition internationally though... but they're definitely a band to check out if you like Cryptopsy.

The Morning After
WWWWWWWWWWW0000000000000000000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CEPHALIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! The show was great! 1/2 of Martyr was playing there too with other bands!!!!!!! T'WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
First up was Parasite or something.....they were OK at best.
Second was BloodShotEye with guest drummer.......PAT FROM MARTYR!!!!!!! And he reading the music off music sheets as he was playing.......AND IT WAS STILL AWESOME!?!??!! MMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST!??!?!??!
Then The End played, and they surprised the hell out of me. There's another band to add to the awesome-canadian-metal scene. Very pleased with their performance, would have bought a cd but i'm kinda strapped for cash.
THEN CEPHALIC PLAYED?!??! AND WWWWWWWWWW00000000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST PERFORMANCE EVER?!?!??! It's my 4th time seeing them and by far the best. Played quite a bit of new material i've never heard before, one song being dedicated to Manowar which was fucking brilliant with duel-solos. Best show of the whole night in my opinion.
Cryptopsy was last (duh), and despite the over-evilness of their presentation, it was pretty fucking cool. Daniel Mongrain filled in on guitar (WHICH WAS AWESOME?!?!?!?) and they had another bald guitar player who played about half the songs (anyone know who he was?) and a second singer came out 2-3 times (anyone??!) to help lord garb on vocals. Flo's drum solo was incredible too......super awes.
All in all the whole thing was great. I could have gone without the ressurection of Lord Worm ceremony and the blackness and evilness, i honestly didn't think Cryptopsy was like that........but it was still cool.
Looking forward to the end of the month when they come play my hometown! WWWWWWW000000!!!!!!!! NO MORE DRIVING TRIPS?!??!?!

(Paroxysm, not Parasite)
That show was really awesome, I was wondering all the time how could Cephalic Carnage's members keep moving their head and body while playing their ultra-technical shit. During their set, Neuraxis' singer even went on the stage and sang with them, which was great.
Cryptopsy were also cool, but 3 guitars were too much for the mediocre acoustics of the Medley. I think the bald guy was Jon Levasseur (?)
After seeing Cephalic Carnage, Lord Worm seemed more like a tired guy who needed help for the vocals. But it was cool seeing him again, with the leather pants and all.

well he did need help since there was another singer for 3 songs or whatever...the worm eating bit was kinda stupid, but funny at the same time so it was OK.
yeah the guitars were a little under-powered throughout the night, but still the overall sound was good...is Jon Lavasseur from Gorguts and/or Martyr?? i think thats the name i heard too.
great show, and the chicks...awwww yeah

Nope.
I was surprised once again at how Cephalic pulls of their riffs while bouncing around everywhere. They definitely know how to put on a show.
I met up with 3 of the members right before Cryptopsy finished, and man were they ever fucked up. Great guys though, love seeing their shows.

Jon Levasseur is the official Cryptopsy's guitarist (they replaced him with Dan Mongrain for this part of the tour but he was still there?).

I'm sure I read that Jon couldn't make the tour with Miguel Roy filling in for him - maybe the bald guy was Miguel.

I read that Dan Mongrain was filling in for the 2nd half of the tour because Cryptopsy's guitarist (i guess Jon) was sick/ill and couldn't play. Maybe he decided to force it for a couple songs in montreal since it was a special show.

Exactly. Miguel is the second guitarist on Whisper Supremacy.
And the other singer was Martin Lacroix he took the singer spot between the DiSalvo/Lord Worm replacement, he's the one you hear on None so Live.
Fuckin great show i can't wait for the DVD and the next album....
c'mon guys it's been 4 years almost 5.
