Whats the cheapest way to sound awesome?
alright i know everyone hates new threads but fuck it
ok so i got a bc rich platnuim warlock with emgs as one of my main guitars
and as soon as UPS stops fucking up ill have my jackson dk2 with a duncan invader
as for my amp i have a peavey special 130 combo going into a yahama 4x12 with 60 watt speakers(stock speakers i think)
and for distortion im using a line 6 distortion modeler
right now my tone is pretty good, but it could definatly be improved
so you guys tell me what shit i need to make me sound awesome, and i dont have a steady source of income right now so try to suggest cheaper stuff
and keep in mind id like to keep my line 6 pedal in the setup, im open to any suggestion though
looking for a straight up brutal tone that is clear and cuts through nicely

graphic eq, sonic maximizer, compressor. all are pretty cheap units especially if you buy used.
more expensive:
maybe a better "clean head" like a roland jc or a fender(tube).... a cheap s.s. amp will only sound so good especially a low wattage one, but a really clean amp like a tube fender will take pedals really well... because the tube clean will really warm your line6 up and at high volumes the breakup will be smooth and wont make your distortion sound shittier.
the roland jc's are amazingly clean amps too but in a completely different way...

Get them used of ebay. Shouldn't spend more than 60-70 for each. That will make a world of difference in your sound.

i practice all the time def, i sound fine when i am turned down, but when i turn up it looses a far bit, i might break down and sell my line 6 pedal and then buy a peavey 5150 after some saving....
and yes ups fucked up my order bigtime,they have no clue where the fuck it is

Experiment with different things. I'm always tweaking my EQ a little bit and trying all sorts of things. I used to have a lot of bass but when I rcorded it would sound really muddy. If you want something that cuts through, try emphasizing the mids. That's what I started to do.

sell ure amp and get a second hand crate blue voodoo, cos there cheap and sound pretty good. Then your sound should be fairly good, especially with the jackson. I personally would sell ure line 6 aswell

or
