plastic pieces of shit, all that zoom shit is crap.
if you need a multi effect, get a descent one, like a korg ax-1500g or a boss GT-6 or something.
if you only need good distortion get something simple like a boss metalzone or something like that.

Haha I had a zoom pedal too. It sucked on so many levels
And the crappy distortion comming out of it was just the least of problems
And why do they even include those useless tuners on their pedals?

tc electronics g-major...... tons of usable effects, nothing else... no amp modeling or other worthless crap that digitech and zoom throw in their cruddy fx pedals to make them seem worth it.
$500 u.s.d., but well worth it when teamed up with a midi preamp or something.

6 years ago I had a 505 because I needed some extra FX... What a piece it was. Got rid of it first chance I had, because some things are cheap for a good reason. Good for beginning guitarist on small watt amps, but move on to better things and fast.

listen dude stay away of all zooms... i have the 505II (100$ or something) and it totally sucks. but it's good while practicing in your own room or something. just set up some nice distortions and plug in your headphones.
but that's about it. don't even think about pulling off a gig with it, cus the feedback gets like outrageous. it might be alright for beginners, though.
the only way that it might be useful, is by muting it and using the tuner. nowadays i only use the damn thing for the tuner. its like a idiot-proof model, it displays the note and tells which way to crank the tuners. great...

digitech valve fx is nice for the price, team it up with a combo, head, poweramp, cab or whatever and you'll be good to go... nice effects and a decent preamp.. they're discontinued so you'd have to find one used.
