String Vibration Problem

First, I am tuned in D and have a floyd Rose speedloader tremolo. My problem is the sixth (D) string vibrates when I play the 7th fret on the 5th string, and the same thing happens for that string when i play the 7th fret on the 4th string. What causes this? I have been tuned in drop D before on other guitars and never had this problem. The vibration isn't much but makes whatever I play sound noisey when the gain is turned up.

its cus they are the same notes, 5th string, 7th fret is the same as an open 6th string, and so on with the other sttrings, except the open third is the same as the 2nd string, 8th fret, that would be the problem, you just have to slightly mute the 6th string with either hand.

Their isent, floyd hasent licensed the patent and i doubt he will, hes learned his lesson with how badly a licensed product can hurt the name. What you have sound like fret buzz.

This probably isn't the same thing but when I play the 9, 10, and 11 fret of the sixth string I get this low frequency tone drowning out the sound of the guitar. This is wierd and I'm not sure what is causing it. It only happens on the 9 10 and 11 frets and no where else. And when I dont have the amp on and I'm just playing it acousticaly I can't really notice any difference.
So does any one know what I'm talking about or have some sort of solution to the problem?
Thanks.

remember he's in drop D. so between the A(5th) and D(6th) is different than the 4th and 3rd,ect.

does it buzz? I think its fret buzz, cause my a poorly setup neck or a high
fret(s)

Theres no buzzing at all because when I play it with no amplification theres no buzzing and it sounds normal almost. My best guess is that those frets are lower than the others or the neck is wierd.
Any other ideas are welcome.
I'm going to ask my luthier about it when I work with him on wednesday.

Take it to a shop and ask what's wrong, they won't usually charge you anything unless you want them to fix it. At least you'll know, and if it is fretbuzz, that's a cheap repair.

he just said he plays in D and then he said he's played in drop d on OTHER guitars with no plroblem. he never actually said he was in D standard.

Wait I have an idea, maybe you need to adjust your truss rod, sometimes thats the trick.

Wow you're getting ripped off, $125? When I got that done to my guitar awhile back it only costed me $60. I guess if its through a music store then they might jack up the price. I get work like that done directly through a luthier.

And I'm pretty sure it is not fret buzz for there is no buzzing at all in that area. Hmmm maybe there is something to do with the truss rod.

Well, I'll talk to my luthier about it and see what he has to say about it.

Well you my friend got your ass ripped off, You can a tool to recrown for like 20 bucks. Its not hard at all. I wouldnt even pay $125 for a full REFRET unless is was stainless steel frets.

Thanx

Thanx for all the replies. The problem, I have learned, is that they are the same note, like moonraver said in his first reply. So I guess it is somekind of harmonic vibration or something. When I play the fifth fret on the sixth string then the fifth string vibrates (like you would if you were tuning it). I think it is just more noticeable on this guitar as the strings are easier to sound and the pickups are better than others I have had. I am in standard D, I said I played in Drop on other guitars but I meant just D not Drop D, even though I have played in Drop D as well. Thanx again.
