Hi to all members, i have a question. I have a Peavey 5150 head, a BOSS Digital Delay and a BOSS Digital Reverb pedals. I want to connect them using the send and return mode. But when i connect the cable to the send or return jacks, the sound dies inmediatly, and even the effects pedals don't work. What should i do?.

Also I want to change my tubes to some JJ's tubes, because i have seen that you recommend them, i was just wondering, wich tubes should i buy, for the powertubes and the pre-amp tubes.

i think it's your pedals...try them going guitar--> reverb pedal--->amp input... if it doesnt work that pedal is the problem or one of the cords.... if it does work then that pedal is fine and so is that cable. then try guitar---> delay pedal---> amp input.... ect.

thanks for the reply man, yeah i have seen that webpage, but what tubes should everyone recommend me to buy to my 5150 head. Wich ones should i buy, i play most big f****ng metal distortion and big loud solos.

well,for powertubes i prefer el34's and el84's for my tone, but 5150's are set for use with 6l6's so no adjustments would be required, although i'd recommend a bias mod anyways because it will give you the most out of you're amp.
just good ol' 12ax7's for the preamp that's what it uses stock and thats what the majority of amps use for the preamps, i beleive they tend to have more gain than other styles of preamp tubes but i'm not to sure.... i prefer sovteks for my preamp tubes, but jj's are very nice as well.
