Boot camp? I thought you were going to be an officer? Only enlisted do boot camp. Officers go to OCS after collage were they learn how to use folks and spoons properly when eating. You still have 6 years until then, right? Guess it doesn't hurt to start early.

I can tell you, though, there is no walking in boot camp or OCS. Lots of people can run a mile<7 minutes, but the military grade you on a 1 1/2 mile timed run and that fucks some people up badly because they save nothing for the last half mile, so work on that time more than just a mile timed run. Get to were you can run at least 5 miles non-stop and still be ready for 5+ more; I'm not kidding about this either. You will then be ready for the running part at boot camp/OCS.

Don't let anyone know you can run that good or show it off ( unless it's for a personal grade ), because you will regret being singled out for it. Always run with the slowest person ( unless, again, it is for a grade ) and support them while running. I don't mean yell in their ear for running slow either like its some damn movie, because your instructors will do enough of that. Don't make things worse for anyone or they may kick your ass later for it.
