1.) Goto local Guitar Store that sells jackson's
2.) Find the RX10D
3.) Find a decent amp
4.) plug guitar into amp
5.) tunr amp on
6.) play guitar
8.) decide for yourself

Yeah, same here. The nearest on I have around here has like 10 guitars, and thats it. A good one is like an hour away or so, well worth the ride.

I own a RX10D!
It's not a bad guitar. Pickups suck on it. Other than that it is a decent guitar for its price. I actualy didn't even play this guitar until it arrived at my house. I bought it off of ebay which is the way to go if you can't go to a guitar shop.

If you're gonna gamble on a buying a guitar you havent played before, I would buy it on ebay so you wont pay that much and it won't be too much of a loss. If you dont like it then just sell it on ebay again :P

I'm thinking about getting that Jackson RR 3 (which seems to be about the same price as this RX10D).
What's the difference between'em actually and which one is better (gonna put new pickups in though).

If I could do that I wouldn't be wasting my time posting my question. Hopefully some more people starting to post real answer instead of standard crap.

The stupid thing about the RX10D is the lack of a tone knob. Other than that its an adequate guitar.

not yet this summer probably.
About the "tone" knob, my current guitar doesn't have one either (Kelly3 - my first guitar)... Is it really that important and how does it affects or changes the sound? *noob*

It gives you more control over the sound of your pickup. It isent really needed... EVH enever had a tone knob. Its just nice to have.

Yes, but, when you are playing very loud, it helps between songs to turn your guitar down so as it does not ring out. It is a necessity to me.
