i tried doing it in a band once, it was a three piece (d, g, v)and we wanted three vocalists but didn't want to find a fourth member so i tried it. as long as you only have to scream incoherently, and in parts where drums arent really complex, it isnt that hard. its just really awkward.

but yes the eagles drummer did sing, and IMO was very good at it, I still have a soft spot for them

erm I know a local punk band who has 2 brothers one on drummers and one ond guitars and both do about equal amount of vocal duties.

and I think Queen used their drummer on vocals on a few songs (like bohemian rapsody in the intro) but I can't really think of any metal bands that do, I think metal singing is demanding enough without trying to play drums at the same time and not do one or the other badly.

Spiderbait (rock) singer is a drummer, he's a pretty average drummer but he's a good singer, I like his rough voice. I tried to keep myself in time once but it didn't work, and singers are there partially to entertain the audience because they can move around and do stupid shit and drummers can't.

I had a bruise under my eye after I hit the floor tom too hard out of pure rage and hit myself because I couldn't handle the rebound. It does hurt, and it happens often to me because I'm a beginer (3 and a half months) and I failed anger management.

Stick Spinology is fucking mint a mate of mine has all this shit on it, and I am looking to 'borrow' it at some point as for deserving to get hurt, the whole point of drumming in metal is to show off and so you are expected to try it, just it is a pain when you fail.

ther was some band where the singer went crazy and was headbanging and banged his head againts the drummers symbol right as he was hitting it and the singer sliced his forhead open

if you watch the master stick spinners, they spin when they are doing fills or just keeping a rhythm, it isn't like they stop drumming Just to spin the stick cause that would be gay. very gay.
