so a general question

drummers are hard to find. why do you guys suppose that is? also im looking into getting a set and trying to learn. what do you recommend for a nice first set? (i already play guitar so i want to play drums pretty badly)

Yeah, they're hard to find, especially good drummers. Try at the music faculty, the guys in there always kick ass and are likely to add jazz/fusion influence to your music.

well drummers are hard to find because most are currupted by shity emo music. me my self am in a viking metal band right now "Celestial Darkness" and we kick lots of ass. If you are looking for a cheap and good sounding drumset you should probably go with the Yamaha stage custom. its about $500 and the sound quality is great better than any pearl or tama set ive played on

Space issues, noise issues, price. Im surpirsed though cause everyone wants to be a drummer. Dosent matter, any retard cant hit shit with sticks.

Your right any retard can hit shit with sitcks, thank you for pointing out the incredibly obvious.

However, a drummer is required to do alot more than just hit shit.

don't bother with a kit until you have learnt the basics of drumming and know you want to continue and another thing, Pillows are not a HELL of a lot quiter than a drum kit, the fact that pillows don't provide any bounce is actually quite good training for your wrists, as they have to do all the work themselves, rather than using the bounce of the skin for the upstroke.
