does anybody own a jackson dxmg..overall..tell me is it a good guitar..good tone...is its finish good...is the action good

You'll have to set up the to your standards. I'd rather spend liek 200 dollars more for a neck through Jackson.

Any guitar you buy will have to be set up to your standards or you're not fully utilizing the guitar, as far as action goes. The finish is pretty standard (black is the most typical finish); its just a solid color. If the guitar has been taken well care of then these first two points should be perfect. Don't buy something that doesn't look good / look new if its said to be 'new.' As far as tone goes the EMG-HZ's are average in my opinion. Nothing really special here.

There are a ton of these DXMG's all over the place so you should be able to find one lightly used for under $300 no problem. I found one at a local shop about a month ago that was loaded with two EMG 81's for $275. Don't pay a dime over $450 new though.

Yeah I'm thinking about getting a Jackson DXMG or RR (under 1000$), and get some Seymour Duncans in there.

Pretty cheap yet decent enough.
