Danelectro pedals
I use a danelectro black coffee metal distortion pedal. I know it's not the best around, but I really like it - good value imo. What do people think of them? just out of interest...

yeah, danelectro pedals do suck, well their cheap ones, i have heard good things about their expensive ones.

Their effects pedals will drain your tone immensely. Their effects aren't even that good either. I would steer clear of that black coffee metal distortion pedal.

well, those cheap $20 pedals are crap, poorly built tone sucking piles of plastic.
but the higher end shit is awsome, i love the shift daddy and the dano wahs'. they also have a good "talk box" pedal and an amazing delay pedal, but their higher end stuff costs alot more but it easily rivals brands like boss.

dod isnt to special, you get what you pay for with them... my biggest problem with them is they're noisey as fuck, but any distortion pedal will give you tons of noise.
there are alot of people that complain about them breaking easily, but when i started out i had both a grunge pedal and a death metal pedal, noisey and hard to get a great sound out of yes. but to break them you must be a retarded fuck who throws his gear around and smacks his pedals with a hammer to switch them  ... anyways, pedals arent the way to go for good distortion.

I actually broke my DOD Death Metal by just regular switching, it never even left my room. It just decided to not switch all the time, so I had to take it apart and fuck with it for awhile. But I'd never buy another distortion pedal again so...
