Playing with metronome
Im a bit lost, what note does the click sound on the metronome mean, is it a whole note, a 1/2 note or a 1/4 note?
Like if it clicks once i play like this, the X's are where i hit strings, K is metronome click:
K-------K--------
X X X X X X X X
Would this be 4/4 pace ?

Thats the way to do it. That way is called 16th notes. Just do that while your running up and down scales and keep rasing the BPM and your speed will be up in no time.

I've never really played with one. It doesnt really help me because when I play with a drummer I rather have a good dynamic going with him, where we feed off eachother and don't worry about staying exact, but be free enough to change stuff up.

Just play more notes per beat on a slower bpm. It's shit having a metronome too high because it just becomes a blur of clicks and you get lost, so anything above 250 is ridiculous. |
