My best friend on the net is British and when he gets his dander up I think it's funny as heck because he's very creative with his vocabulary. And I've learned about things like conkers and dustbin lorries. He's made fun of my jargon a time or 2. I 've also learned that chivalry is far from dead over there.

But Soul' ,you're right, from what I've heard Denny talk about when he was over there. And they were allowed beer on their ships , too.
One story he told was when his ship was in port in some med. country and there was also a British ship there, too. They were all half stupid in the bar and he said when Brits drink they love to sing. Well, one of theirs shouted "Long live the Queen !!" And one of Denny's buddies yelled back "The Queen takes it up the ass!! " Well, needless to say there was a lot of broken furniture in the bar cuz you just don't say things like that about the Queen. I guess it was a heck of a fight. They all had fun.

Tell me haircoloring is childish when you're 35 and graying. Kids doing their hair in off-the-wall colors that are not complimentary to their features is childish. Enhancing one's beauty is different. I've been lucky that I have limited gray so far. A lot of women I work with are younger than me and totally grey and thinning, too.
I've had my hair blonde, dark brown, dark auburn (which was very pretty) , and accidently grass green with blonde roots. (I found out you shouldn't use ashes on golden hair cuz it absorbs too much blue color. I had to die it orangey and then golden blonde to get it back to normal!)

Wigs! That is as vain as it can get if you still have hair and don't have a medical reason. If I start to lose hair I'm going to just keep shaving it completely balded.

Funny story... I dyed my long hair, eye brows, and pharaohs beard jet black once for a concert... It was suppose to be temporary dye, but some jurk switched out the components of the box with the permentant black dye I looked so funny for a year.

Bee stings suck! Some don't hurt as bad as others, but it also depends on where you get stung. I was stung on the eye lid by a wasp when I was 9 or 10 and it hurt like hell! Hornets have to be the worst, because like Trans said, they really do try to kill you.

I used to get stung when ever I went out back picking blackberries. One time my hand swelled up so bad I couldn't do dishes at the hotel I was working at. It looked like a surgical glove blown up. I slapped my cure-all, aloe vera, on it and stuck it in some cold water. It went down but was still a bit itchy. It's been awhile since I've gotten it but certain bugs do have various hurt factors.

He's 20. Some asshole deflated 2 of his tires and stole his gas cap from in his driveway. The landlord said nothing like that has ever happened there and he told the cops about. They seem to think it was kids fooling around. I told him to get some locking lugnuts and a locking gas cap. It won't prevent deflation , but it may keep his tires from getting stolen if they should attempt that. It did my ole Scout.

ANd I did my good deed yesterday. Coming out of Office Max but still inside the doorway i saw a credit card laying on the floor. So I took it in side and turned it in. I hope the cashier was honest and called it in. I was so shocked to find it that's all I could think about doing with it. But if it happens again ever, I'll ask them if I can call in the report myself so I know it gets done. Funny part of it is, that's the same store where my stolen checks were found outside of last Sept.
